2. What information we collect
When you submit an enquiry through our website, we collect the following information:
| Field | Required? | Purpose |
|---|---|---|
| Name | Required | To address you and identify your enquiry |
| Mobile number | Required | To call or text you back |
| Postcode | Required | To confirm we cover your area |
| Email address | Optional | To contact you by email if you prefer |
| Job description | Optional | To help assess the work and prepare an accurate quote |
| Photograph of the damage | Optional | To assess the repair before attending |
We also collect standard technical data automatically when you visit the website, including your IP address, browser type, pages visited, and approximate location. This is collected through Google Analytics (see section 6).
3. How we use your information and our lawful bases
We use the information you submit to respond to your enquiry, assess the work required, prepare an estimate, arrange and carry out the repair if you proceed, and answer any follow-up questions.
| Processing activity | Lawful basis (UK GDPR Art. 6) |
|---|---|
| Processing your name, mobile number and postcode to respond to your enquiry and confirm service coverage | Legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f)) — responding to a service request you have initiated, and confirming we can serve your area |
| Processing your email address, job description and any photograph to assess the work, prepare an estimate and arrange the repair | Pre-contractual steps (Art. 6(1)(b)) — taking steps at your request prior to entering into a contract for the repair work |
| Retaining records of completed jobs for contractual, warranty or dispute purposes | Legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f)) — maintaining records necessary to fulfil obligations arising from completed work and to defend or bring claims |
We do not use your information for automated decision-making or profiling. We do not sell, rent or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes.
4. How we store your information
Enquiry records — including your name, mobile number, postcode, email address (if provided), job description (if provided), and a reference to any photograph you uploaded — are stored in a MySQL database provided as part of GoDaddy's Airo platform.
Photographs you upload are stored in a private, access-controlled file store on the same platform. They are not publicly accessible and are not included in notification emails. They can only be viewed by the business owner through a secure, password-protected admin dashboard.
Notification emails sent to the business owner when you submit an enquiry contain your name, mobile number, postcode, email address (if provided), and job description (if provided). They do not contain your photograph.
International data transfers
GoDaddy's infrastructure spans multiple regions. GoDaddy states that it may process data in the United States and other countries. Where personal data is transferred outside the UK, GoDaddy relies on appropriate safeguards including the UK International Data Transfer Agreement (IDTA) or equivalent mechanisms. For full details of GoDaddy's data transfer arrangements, see GoDaddy's privacy policy at godaddy.com/legal/agreements/privacy-policy.
Google Analytics data is processed by Google LLC. Google states that it may transfer data internationally and relies on Standard Contractual Clauses and other approved transfer mechanisms. For details, see Google's Privacy Policy.
5. How long we keep your information
We manage retention manually through periodic reviews of the admin dashboard. No records are deleted automatically.
| Category | Retention approach |
|---|---|
| Enquiries that do not become jobs | Reviewed after 6 months and deleted when no longer needed |
| Completed jobs | Retained for up to 6 years where justified by contractual, legal or operational requirements |
| Photographs | Retained only while necessary for the associated enquiry, job, warranty or dispute; deleted when the enquiry record is permanently deleted |
| Financial records | Retained in accordance with HMRC record-keeping requirements for sole traders |
| Archived enquiries | Archiving is not deletion; archived records remain subject to the same retention rules |
How the system works: Enquiries are not deleted automatically. They remain in the database until permanently deleted through the admin dashboard. Permanently deleting an enquiry also deletes the associated photograph, provided no other enquiry references the same file. Archiving an enquiry hides it from the main list but does not delete it or its photograph.
Notification emails sent to the business owner are stored in the owner's email account and are not controlled by this website. They are subject to the owner's own email retention settings.
6. Google Analytics and cookies

You can withdraw consent at any time by clearing your browser cookies and declining the consent notice on your next visit.
You can also opt out of Google Analytics tracking across all websites using the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

7. GoDaddy services

Enquiry notification emails are delivered through GoDaddy's Inbox messaging service. GoDaddy processes the notification content (name, mobile number, postcode, email address if provided, and job description if provided) to deliver the notification to the business owner. Photographs are not included in these notifications.
No other third parties receive or have access to your personal information.
